Schubert Shoes Arrived!

Hi All, I got my shoes today all the way here in New Zealand - I will comment after the Forum's input. The package arrived from China.

Hope this works and look forward to your very constructive comments. I gotta go. I must apologize for the lack of clear pictures as I took them with my cellphone quickly on the go. Still haven't got a Digital Camera. Ciao!

is there text engraved on the buckle?

overall, they look like a nice pair of casual shoes. Kind of hard to tell the color accurately but I'm guessing a dark brown? The only thing that might look off for me is the toe area which seems a bit bulbous but it could be the angle of the pics.

Did they fit your feet properly? Seems like that has been the biggest bone of contention so far with these shoes.

Fits like a glove. I have very flat feet and so the width was very important to me and they have gotten the fit right. No trouble wearing the shoes at all.

The text on the buckle seems to say XELEMENT(trade marked). The colour is burgundy I think. The toe area is a bit bulbous because I sent an image to copy and represent but alas the copy is no where near nice to the original pic. Good try nevertheless.

They fit like a glove. No problems with my feet. Excellent fit!!!

Did you send them a picture to copy? Do you happen to have the original picture?

I'm not too excited about the engraving on the buckle... I'd imagine you aren't either.

Without regard to the style, the craftsmanship appears to be a little hurried or primitive. Nevertheless, the shoes appear quite serviceable.

Since you are happy with the fit, I hope you get many miles of pleasure from them. Thanks for being a SF guinea pig.

I actually tried them out as a R&D project so I will not be using them in future as I don't think that the quality and standard of craftmanship is anywhere near the RTW shoes like Salvatore, JL & C&J. Absolutely no way. If I can find another source to make good shoes for me then yes I should be on my way to starting something that has been close to my heart for a very long time.

Guinea pig is a very good use of words here.

Looking at it now - what a laugh - no comparison is there? Maybe a good polish and shine will do the trick.

The Schubert shoe is a lot wider in the instep area, which kind of kills the whole look.

Kiton's lasts aren't the friendliest.

I will have to agree with whoopee because I have very flat feet and they are quite wide at that. I wear an 11EE and only at these sizes do I feel comfortable walking around. I must admit that Schubert's fit probably is the best fitting that I have worn in a very long time. Pity about the craftmanship.
