So I got my 118 for a few weeks now and I started to notice that the seams were "stretching" out already. Near the underarm area, where the seam usually sits under a lip of leather, it's visible.

As I live in Germany it's obivously quiet hard to compare it to a brand new one or let it check. Did somebody on here had a similar experience?

Am I overreacting? Or should I sell it?

I just don't want to have a broken seam in a few months on a $700+ jacket.

All leather jackets will pull an stretch a bit at the seams. What is the weight of the leather used. and how tightly does it fit? If it's their heavy leather made for biking, that should not happen. If it's a lighter leather, well then it's hard to say.

it's fit naked cowhide and it fits pretty snug, but it's not too short or too snug, it's supposed to fit like this, the other shoulder looks fine, it's just that part. It's a biker leatherjacket.

In that case, I would take it back to the dealer. If it's stretching like that from normal wear, and you are not abusing it by trying to puuuuullll on it, and it's not some leather with a lot of give that probably should not be worn too tight, like a lot of lamb, then there is no reason that this should happen.

The naked cowhide schott uses is pretty soft and stretchy. I used to have a jacket made of the stuff.

Interesting. I don't think that I've handled that leather. Is it as stretchy as say, goat or lamb?

Not as strechy as lamb, but pretty close. It's very meaty with considerable give to it.
