So, i live in the south of france (in marseille, sketchier than other areas along the coast) and wear dark blue jeans and and a button up shirt or a polo shirt, a t-shirt, or a sweater just about every day.
i am happy enough with my outfits except for my shoes. i lost some nice shoes on a plane and now i need to start from scratch.
i would like to pick up a pair of dark brown short wingtips in smooth leather to wear a lot, like 3 or 4 times a week. i would like them to be goodyear welted and last ages. my feet are big (sz 46), and i pronate--i prefer shoes that don't make my feet look humongous.
Right now here are some assorted thoughts on images of various shoes.
This weekend i will be in paris and am going to try to pick up a pair of shoes, maybe carmina, but if you have any other sugguestions please do let me know.
here are some musings on various shoes...
These look a little sleek, but this is the darkish feeling i'm going for here.
These look good for every day wear. i like how the brown sole stands brightens an otherwise dark boot.
Are these called short balmoral wingtips?
Would the suede shoe in the middle be good with jeans and a sweater? What about the shoes next to it?
These i like a lot-- sleek, blucher (right?), short wingtips. but they are not sufficiently worn-in to go with my style.
Originally wanted a pair of boots like this, but they're less and less appealing. still, could be good for winter and rain.
Are these a good style for the mediterranean coast?
i like this boot a lot, but is it way too dressy for jeans?
These boots are too dressy for anything i normally wear, but i like the style.
Thanks!
