Christian Dior Sauvage Elixir

Stopped by Saks yesterday to secure my bottle for the Friday promo.

I got a sample of this today and it was way too sweet for my liking.

I wore Cuir Cuba Intense by Nicolai last night. I really enjoy the opening of anise and spearmint. I normally can’t detect the civet and musk, but last night I was able to smell them in the cold air.

Does anyone has any experience with recent Vol de Nuit EDT? I’ve read some reviews suggesting it is thin and a shadow of its former self. Not sure if it is worth the risk.

For how long did you wear it? There's definitely some sweetness to it, but overall I don't find it all that sweet. It's very concentrated, which is why the bottle is so small, so I imagine it can really be too much if you spray too much, and it's really easy to spray too much when the fragrance is as concentrated as this one.

One spray, just to try it out. I just wasnt a fan and havent really liked anything from the Sauvage line, though I have really tried.

I really like them, too. A lot of people like bottles that are very ornate, but to me, simple is best. The Dior bottles and Louis Vuitton bottles are my favorites.

Actually scent of the day today is Oud Edition and Oud you believe it it tastes smells pleasantly not unlike Encre Noire, with some hints of pine.

Although some embittered individuals on fragrantica have been writing something about pisscake...

In our household we like sandal wood soap, and this one in particular

However recently i Have noticed that genuine sandal wood soap has become harder to come by, could be due to sandal wood depletion... or am I imagining things again.

It might be COVID related supply chain issues. I could be wrong but I highly doubt there’s real Mysore sandalwood in that soap.
