Yeah last Saturday if you wanted to buy them all in one shot. I got the impression based on the Areej YouTube video and instagram presence that there's quite a number of bottle this time around, so that's good news.

Christian Dior Balade Sauvage

I'm wearing a Dior tee today, so I had to go for some Dior synergy and made sure to pick one that does well in the heat.

Cheval d'Arabie by Sultan Pasha from a sample. He writes that he tried to replicate the smell of a horse. Horses used to be common around my town when I was young and, yeah, it really does smell kind of like a horse (or maybe a cow?) in a pasture, with the accompanying animalic, tart, and fecal notes. It's interesting in terms of scent-memory and blended very well, but it's a bit too skanky and strong for this humble novice.

Profumum Roma Olibanum

I want to see what this is like in the heat because I'm not sure I've worn it yet while it's been really hot outside.

I was away for a couple days, but got them today. Did you get your hands on any? For me the clear winner is Ottoman Empire III, followed by Russian Musk then Oud Zhen.

Thanks! That's the feedback I wanted to hear - I managed to get one bottle of OE III before it sold out after 5 minutes going live. At least the RA website kept up with the traffic this time around.

Today: Another Oud - Juliette Has a Gun

I actually really liked this one. Very unisex, and the raspberry and woody/resinous notes were a nice blend.

Frederic Malle Music For a While

My wife wears this a lot. The initial pineapple blast is a little too much, but once that settles a bit it's a really nice scent.
