I need to explore these Tauer fragrances. He seems to have quite a fan club. I think I have only smelled one or two of his and they were instantly forgettable.

Many of them smell somewhat similar. Slightly different riffs around the same core. If you've tried LDDM and didn't like it, you probably won't like the others.

I really like LDDM and Lonestar Memories. I think they go well with Western/ Southwestern workwear styled outfits, like a denim Western shirt with white jeans.

This was true in the early days of Tauer but I don't think it is anymore. He has clearly broadened his repertoire. Later frags like Phtaloblue, Les Annees 25 and L'air des alpes Suisses are different. L'air des alpes Suisses is particularly great imo.

Lately I have tried several scents that have been successes with the critics like Histoires de Parfums 1969, Jovoy's Les jeux son faits, DS & Durga's Bowmakers and Diptyque's Tempo. None of them really convinced me. They are all perfectly fine, I just expected more. The only frags that have really convinced me lately are Guerlain's L'homme Idéal Extrême and Heeley's Zeste de Gingembre.

Has anyone tried Antonio Alessandria's latest, Rusty Vibes? Love most of his scents but havent tested this one yet.

Au Coeur du Desert by Tauer. A little too sweet in the opening, but the drydown is a great woody-spicy.

continuing the Tauer talk: I love LADM and ACDD, bought full bottles, and I went through LADM faster than I have any other fragrance. But I never liked anything else he made that much, and a few years ago i gave up on trying his new things as they came out. but maybe i'll go back and try again.

Haven't tried much from Tauer apart from ACDD, LADDM, and Phi Une Rose de Kandahar (which I can't stand). I blind bought LADDM a month ago, and I'm really happy with it. It's basically an ideal amber fragrance to me because of the uber dry woods and spices, and the amber isn't sweet at all. I'm sick of the sweet vanillic amber scents, so this one was basically a godsend. Yes, it's overhyped, but it is a damn good scent.

Antonio Alessandria Fára should fit the bill.

Exactly.

All Creed’s are wearable and they should have credit for that. Some of them also smell very nice. But to me none of them are essential.

I gave my teenage son Aventus recently because that is a good ”entry-frag” and works well on young people.

So, during the week--not a fan. On a Sunday I like it a lot. There's a really interesting spice mixture coming through that I am enjoying. It's like a funky spice?

Have two samples of Observer by Thousand Yard Studio arriving tomorrow.

Also did a Lucky Scent purchase last night. Other than Blenheim Bouquet I don't know anything about these fragrances other than they sound evocative.

I really should just buy a bottle of something.
