1. And... we're back. You'll notice that all of your images are back as well, as are our beloved emoticons, including the infamous :foo: We have also worked with our server folks and developers to fix the issues that were slowing down the site.

There is still work to be done - the images in existing sigs are not yet linked, for example, and we are working on a way to get the images to load faster - which will improve the performance of the site, especially on the pages with a ton of images, and we will continue to work diligently on that and keep you updated.

Well, why not? Today, some old Chanel Antaeus.

SOTD: Chanel No. 22 (vintage). I am not even going to lie, even though it might "ruffle some feathers" so to speak, I enjoy the Exclusifs version of No. 22 more than the vintage.

Samples arrived today. Guess they didn't have any L'eau d'Hiver. Anyway, FM's factory samples are extremely generous (3.5 ml, atomizer, nice packaging)!

Aromatics Elixir. I just got a bottle of this in perfume concentration off ebay for cheap, and it's definitely the same or very similar to Aramis 900's edt for men. I have the latter so this is a bit redundant but I like the perfume better and it's very cheap on ebay (and probably everywhere else). It's probably a bit old fashioned for most of you but I like it a lot. It's one of those scents that smell better more interesting in the wearing than in the sampling.

Lonestar Memories today. I'm not sure that this one is office-appropriate. I keep getting a whiff and thinking I should go on a hike somewhere.

Villoresi Musk. If there are any of you who haven't tried this, you should. (If you don't, I might use my mod powers to have you banned from SOTD.)

How do you like Keiko Mecheri's Musc, L'Inc?

Uh oh, I am going to have to admit I have not tried it. Honestly, I'm not a big fan of the Keiko Mecheri lineup. I really like Attar de Roses, but I've been disappointed by a lot of them.

You should try it. It's a very nice musk. I think rach recommended it a while ago.

    Yep:

I have some of that I found in an op shop once. It came in a Cartier leather sleeve. I really should get it out and try it.
