If y'alls made a guess that I was wearing 1932 by Chanel as my SOTE, then you guessed right.

I just realized that it smells like my anti-perspirant that I just bought for $2.00.
    That's discouraging.

I am wearing Francis Kurkdjian Silk Mood as my SOTE. I tried this for the first time in March 2013 at Neiman Marcus (an upscale department store that sells expensive things to people). It is just ridiculously good, IMO.

I liked that one too. Have you tried the regular Oud? I was quite disappointed.

I've been unimpressed by that whole brand, unfortunately.

Tonight is very cold and foggy, so I wore some Bois des Iles.

Yeah, I wasn't very excited about it either but at least the Silk Mood smelled nice. (I would never buy a bottle or decant at that price point though)

I'll join you today. Arabie it is.

I'm not a big fan of the brand as a whole either, TBH, but Silk Mood is an exception for me. The rich, velvety Bulgarian rose at the top is breathtaking. I just bought some more of it.

I have tried the whole Oud line. I thought the regular Oud was okay, and the other two were very nice but not something I'd want to purchase, even in sample form, at the prices they're charging.

For some crazy reason, I really liked the regular Oud. And now I have to try Silk Mood.

Saturday SOTD, back to Fred Malle's Dans Tes Bras. Its been a favorite for me this Spring.

Cologne Reloaded is what I am wearing today.

I've mentioned this before, but whenever I smell this, I also taste it. It's very strange.

EDIT: The journey that this takes from opening through drydown is remarkable. To me, it opens up very herbal, but also very leathery. As it moves into the heart, it smells more like a standard cologne, except superpowered. And then near the end of the drydown it becomes much sweeter, powdery and even a little bit floral. It really is amazing.

ohhhh dirty! I like this one. Actually have a brand new bottle of this for sale incase anyone's interested PM me.
Always found WP rather boring. Not a bad scent but IMO feels like an unfinished idea.
Divine seems to have fallen off the radar on Basenotes etc now. Had it's heyday a few years ago particularly with L'Homme Sage (which I wore the other day and still love) and I've tried quite a few others from them. Quality house. My only issue is their scents seem to just be a good overall blend of a bunch of notes but no obvious concept where I can match it to a time or place to wear them.
lol yeah, there was a Basenotes thread about Golden Tears. Pretty funny. Although I think there's a connection with frankencense or resin being called tears or something.

SOTD is Bond Scent of Peace (him) and it's pretty close to Creed Aventus (bond ripping off creed, no way!), but probably not as good. Decent scent, but I'll stick to Aventus thank you very much.

Silk Mood is pretty different from the usual MFK style. Taste and preference in this forum is quite distinctly polarised. I myself really liked the whole MFK line, and Oud is just divine.

But I do agree that MFK prices are slightly over the top.
