Probably small amounts. Incense Oud is rather rose-centric, imo. Pure Oud I haven't had and Oud Wood just once. The longevity of high quality pure oud oil is incredible (like I said). If you like the fragrances you mentioned, definitely get a sample from AgarAura. It will set you back 20-35$ for 0.15-0.2ml (incl. shipping worldwide!), but you'll have quite a few applications because literally a dab is enough (and I don't mean what's meant to be a "dab" w/r/t parfum/éxtrait, which I need four, five or eight "dabs" of). XerJoff Zatar captures the essence of oud the best so far, imo. There's real oud oil in there. Begins very fecal. Turns wonderful. But I guess for those 600$/100ml you could get 2.5-7.5g pure oud oil of similar or higher quality and get much more wearings out of it. Because Zafar literally smells like plain oud. Also, it's just one region -- just read a little on agaraura. There's quite a few regions that produce oud oil and all of them are distinct from each other. http://agaraura.com/ouducation.html

This reminds me, I need to try to layer Incense Oud with some oud oil.

Have you successfully layered anything else with the oud oil?

Not yet, I've just worn it a couple of times so far.

Today, I wore Frederic Malle - French Lover. For the evening I applied some Guerlain - Bois d'Armenie. It's fine, just too sweet for me and lacks some rough edges.

Yeah, I may try to get up there before I head back to the States.

Speaking of, in preparation I'm trying to finish up bottles. Ending my last stash of Patou 1000. Good stuff, though such a huge, big, exploding in your face stinker I hardly think I could stomach another bottle. I like my stinkers a little closer to the skin; this one you can smell in the next county.

I've switched into 2nd Cumming for the evening. I really like this a lot; it's very different from it's reputation IMO.

Hey guys, it feels like it has been perhaps a year since I've posted anything on SF. The upcoming change of seasons (and all of the good stuff that us SF guys love about colder weather) in addition to a real income (finally) has been dragging me back a bit more regularly lately.

Anyway, on topic: Today was a relatively boring day of Bois du Portugal - the one Creed that shouldn't have to deal with being lumped with all the others.

I see a new sign stating "This is a Scent-sitive Environment: Please Do Not Wear Fragrances in this Area" almost daily in my new workplace. I kind of like it in a way because it gives me an excuse to avoid certain people/duties. But really, I do wonder who puts these things up - employees, administration, or health organizations? Being in the health-care industry I'll have to make a point someday of actually looking into the research behind things such as "olfactory-induced headaches". My approach thus far is to limit to two sprays early in the morning on work days. Nobody seems to want to fire me yet.

Now, slightly off topic: The other day I dug out my box of cold-weather decants; I'm missing a few key pieces. Decants of 10-20mL is the sweet spot for me. I'd love it if anyone could help me out as Thomas and Rambo have in the past. Specifically I'm looking for: Chergui, Bois des Iles, Portrait of a Lady, Musc Ravageur, Musc Kublai Khan, Piper Nigrum, TF Tuscan Leather, and New Haarlem. Cheers!

If I was home I'd send you some MR and PN. Sorry mang.

If anyone else has extra Tom Ford Tobacco Vanille, Musc Koubla Kahn, or New Haarlem, let me know. I'd be willing to swap for some of my Angel Havanne when I get it.

Although the composition states that the scent contains blackcurrant, I smell blueberries. Blueberries and something green, fresh cut grass maybe? I like it, but not enough to spend 300 USD.

I really want to try this one! Sounds interesting. I have yet to try any Malle actually. Thinking of getting some of this, MR, and Carnal Flower from STC.

    Today I'm wearing Coromandel.

You really do have to try Portrait of a Lady. For me and for some others here, it was love at first smell.

Noel au Balcon today. As some of you know, I'm a big fan of Etat Libre d'Orange. I'm reasonably sure that this is actually my favorite scent from their whole lineup. It's a wonderful spicy, gingerbready gourmand.

when i still gave a shit about my appearance and how i was presented, creed himalaya, i still use it. but i just realized the price doesn't fit my budget. i was looking into top cologne that attract women lists earlier and was considering using "Acqua Di Gio By Giorgio Armani For Men" . does anyone have any feedback on that?

but i know a few friends who use that, and would assume it wouldn't be too original, and i would prefer something a little bit more original. though i would still like a review on it.
