I am wearing Loukhoum by Keiko Mecheri today. This is a very sweet, almondy, powdery scent. Today is gray and rainy in St. Louis, and Loukhoum is a perfect comfort scent for days like that.

Today I am wearing ELdO's Eloge Du Traitre. Been a while, and I do like this one.

Been freezing this week and desperate for a coffee as soon as I reach work. What would be a nice coffee scent I could wear at work on cold days?

I know this is probably the obvious answer, but really, New Haarlem is fantastic. I should say, though, that I think it's been reformulated, and I don't know how the new one smells.

Pre-shower: Jonquille de Nuit. This is pleasant, but unremarkable. I can definitely see why the TFPB Jardin Noir series has sold so badly. They are all pleasant, but they're not the kind of scents you'd pay PB prices for. (Cafe Rose is the exception, IMO, but I seem to be in the minority in thinking that.)

SOTD: Let's see if you can guess its initials are DC it's Dangerous Complicity.

You have kept it a secret too long. I'm glad to see that you're finally being open about it.

Have you ever tried Leather Krem by Soivohle?

Yep! I liked it too. Smells like cedar shavings or something. Wearing ELDO Je Suis un Homme today. I really like this one too. It seems sort of similar to Knize Ten but with more citrus and without the gas station smell at the beginning.

No, L'Inc I've never heard of it until now, but just reading about it makes me intrigued. Where have you tried this line?

I spent all last night writing an article about an old Australian fragrance house. When I saved the final draft, Pages lost the entire damn thing. I am soothing my frustration with a liberal amount of Dior Jules.

I got a sample from STC. It's very strange, combining leather and a kind of creme brulee sweetness. I'll be honest, I don't like it much at all. But it seemed to me like the kind of thing you might like, or at least be interested in.

I have switched in Lale by Ys Uzac for the evening.

Do you write for a living?

I'm not a big fan of Orange Sanguine; it's just too literal IMO. I haven't tried Sedona Blue, but some of my favorite scents are made by Keiko Mecheri. (I actually like her regular lineup a lot better than her Bespoke line.)
