Funny: I wore that on Saturday and again Sunday afternoon, after swimming.

You've been a big fan of this, Tommy. You got a bottle of it, no?

Sorry for the TMI, but the pleasure that Oud 27 delivers is the same as scratching your ass and smelling your finger. :slayer::hide:

Oud 27 is one of my favorite fragrances. Initially i hated it too but it grew on me and now i cant wait till the weather gets a little cooler so i can put it into rotation

Today - Baie Rose: very neutral on this. IMO Rose 31 is much better

    Another hot day...

    AdP - Colonia Assoluta
    MFK - Acqua Universalis
    PdN - New York

Again, happy with all three choices. I even enjoyed Acqua Universalis.

Has it changed? I wasn't aware of any reformulations, but I don't keep up much anymore aside from reading this thread.

How come you say you even enjoyed Acqua Universalis?

Today is the first day of the semester, so I have to decide which fragrance gets the opening day honors. There are lots of legitimate contenders, but I went with Parure.

Speaking of which, I won a small bottle of this about a month ago on ebay which I haven't received yet. First the seller said she hadn't received my payment notification, so she didn't ship right away. Then she was very apologetic and said she'd send it out the next day. That was a week ago. In the meantime, she sent me a message asking me to let her know when the Parure arrived. I'm wondering if I'm ever going to see that bottle.

Good question. I meant to differentiate between that and the Gold Edition.

Which Parure - the EdT or the Extrait?

I'm wearing the edt today. I'm close to finishing my decant of the extrait, and I want to make sure I've still got a little in there so I can continue smelling it.

Yep, I got a bottle a year or two back, can't remember exactly when. It was one of the few instances where I wore a sample for a while and then got the bottle. Around that time I made a lot of blind buys. And yeah, it's quite pungent.

I'm sure it's changed a bit through the years, but I can't imagine it being terribly different. I think Dane has a bottle of the 80's era stuff, I have decants of recent Euro stock and two bottles of indeterminate vintage.

Now, that I've not tried at all. BTW: where did you get your bottle from?

Today, L'Instant Homme. Years ago Rach sent me a sample and I thought it was nice but Not Really Me. Then years later, out of the blue...I Wanted it. So I have two tester bottles, and now I wear it four times a year. ah well.

I've been wearing PdN New York for the past few days. Given that I only have a half dozen frags this is close enough to Chanel PM that I don't need to aquire the later right now.

Jo Malone Pomegranate Noir -- definitely one of the best of a line that has me saying "meh."

Pomegranate Noir is one of my least favorites from a line that also has me saying "meh."

And +1 to all the Oud 27 love here lately. My first impression was that I must have had a spoiled batch or something. I thought it was unwearable. But I've definitely come to appreciate it.

I spoke too soon! I just got it in the mail today. I got it at a great price (not BIN), so I thought the seller might just have decided to back out of the deal and try again. It's the same mini bottle I already own, but the one I just got is definitely better--quite a bit like the parfum, actually. It also came with a funky '70s box that I wouldn't have expected from Guerlain!

At any rate, I've switched into Memo Manoa, which is a very sweet amber that's heavy on the labdanum. I'm becoming a big fan of this, and I'll probably wear it quite a lot in the fall and winter. (Big thanks to b1os for this one!)
