The apple was very present in the top notes. Might be worth trying out. They have any Creed botiques in the part of BFE Japan where you're sequestered?

The new Prada Iris isn't fruity floral but I think it would be possible in the summer.

 I'm in Japan's third biggest city... which is about the size of, I dunno... most of the midwest. Lots of Creed. ;)
Anyway, as I mentioned, I got an entire bottle of Acqua Fiorentina and have worn it regularly over the past coupla weeks. Not impressed, but I got it for a $1. Any fragrance is worth trying, and this one is very "nice," but it runs $260 for a bottle, for which I want more than nice. Hell, a Buick is "nice," but I wouldn't want to pay $195,000 for it.

Speaking of 'nice' I ended up wearing my New (to me) bottle of Acqua di Parma. For a long time I more or less turned my nose up at this, thinking it overlapped with others in the herd (namely Signoricci). Well, now that I've given myself a good dousing, I see that I was badly mistaken. This is a good deal spicier, more present and, well...worth keeping.

Acqua Di Parma has launch a mediteranian series where a couple of the scents are a whole lot nicer than the regular one.

    Anyone had go at Byredo?

Rach, how much did that bottle of Creed cost you?

I passed up on a boxed bottle of Guerlain Tonka Imeriale for $40 because I just couldn't get myself to even like it for that price.

Master-Classter is our resident Byredo authority. I've tried a lot of them, but not all. There are some definite winners in their lineup, IMO, including Green, La Tulipe, Baudelaire, and Palermo. Sometimes I really like Bal d'Afrique and other times I don't.

Pre-shower: Givenchy Amarige. The review in the Turin/Sanchez guide is hilarious, but also true.
    SOTD: L'Artisan Al Oudh

EEEEE The Mrs. occasionally wears Amarige - well, she used to until the day I accidentally swept her bottle into one of the trash bags which I then taped shut, put into a box, taped that shut, then put into the big trash can which I carefully covered and moved to the neighbor's driveway.

Thomas, I think my wife would love to do that to every one of my bottles.

    Today: Sycomore.

    100 yen. About a buck. :)

$40 is enough that I have to think I will like something and gets close to the "blind buy NO" range. So, I might have passed as well (especially since I hate Tonka bean)

Eau de lalique today. Revisiting one of my favorite summer scents.

The original. I once tried the Assoluta and thought they could have stopped at the second 's'.

Actually, mine would as well. Bear in mind, this is the woman who once bought me Paris Hilton for Men. That, I think, speaks volumes about her taste. Plus, she married me.

I would have passed, simply because the bottle says "Guerlain"

Today, Issay Miyake - The water of Issay :D Poor homme.

Only because I'm too povvo to afford feu or any of the limited editions, and suddenly everywhere in Oz seems to have stopped selling it. Still, goes so well with my skin/sweat.
