1. And... we're back. You'll notice that all of your images are back as well, as are our beloved emoticons, including the infamous :foo: We have also worked with our server folks and developers to fix the issues that were slowing down the site.

There is still work to be done - the images in existing sigs are not yet linked, for example, and we are working on a way to get the images to load faster - which will improve the performance of the site, especially on the pages with a ton of images, and we will continue to work diligently on that and keep you updated.

Azzaro Chrome. Not bad, but not a favourite.

That's a nice example of the butch soapy fougere. Jules is my favorite in that genre, trussardi uomo is another good one.

On Fragrantica, the comparison is made to Oscar de la Renta Pour Lui, and I just don't get that at all.

^^ I often scratch my head at the comparisons they make at Fragrantica.

    Pre-shower: Kolnisch Juchten
SOTD: Creed Fantasia de Fleurs. This is definitely one of my favorites from the Creed lineup. I don't know which great historical personage it was made for or which celebrities have worn it though. I should probably try to find out.

Naomi Goodsir Bois d'Ascese today. A very clean smoky wood. Fairly linear.

Thanks for the reminder about Naomi Goodsir. I've heard a lot of good things, but I haven't tried either of them. What's your opinion?

They're clearly well made. Bois d'Ascese is pleasant and I like it, though I'm not (currently) blown away by it. I'll be wearing Cuir Velours tomorrow. I sniffed it before & found it very promising. We'l l see how it plays out with a full day's wear.

Thierry Mugler Cologne. I'm sneezing a little this morning, which might not be a good sign.

Does anybodies Perfumed Court orders take forever to ship? I got my receipt 9 days ago and it has yet to ship.

I would strongly advise using Surrender to Chance or Luckyscent instead of Perfumed Court. The people who run Surrender to Chance (STC) broke off from The Perfumed Court (TPC), and that seems to have left TPC shorthanded and unable to process orders. From the very get-go, STC has done a very good job getting orders out. (I used to be a very loyal customer of TPC.)

I've ordered a shtiload from STC last year and everything's been great. Fantastic support too. One shipment (the biggest one) got lost during transport. They reshipped everything (300-400$). They also sent all orders that had faulty prices due to an error in their system (Jicky vintage parfum 5ml for 40$.. normally it's 224$; TF for men for free etc.).

I ordered from TPC because they had M/Mink (STC did not and still doesn't) and I like their vials and packaging better [IMG]

Aedes also has a very good sampling program (7 for $15, plus a small discount if you later buy a full bottle of what you've sampled).

Even before the split, the Perfumed Court seemed slow to me. I greatly prefer STC, but still use TPC occasionally when I can't find something elsewhere.

Aramis today. On me, it's not the sillage beast everyone else seems to complain about. Fairly linear. As it weakened, I started to notice a powdery note to it.
