Today Anvers 2 by Ulrich Lang. I got quite a lot of lavander, then chocolate, then sort of a clean soapyness. Stayed around for most of the day and sort of balanced a clean freshness with a gourmond note. I think I really like this!

this evening, just spritzed on a new aquisition - Dyptique Essense of Galliano. Mmmmmm....

^^ I like Anvers2, but it doesn't seem to stick around on me all that much.

Today, though - Cuir de Lancome. Another one of those bottles that I have and never think about until someone else talks about it.

Master Classer has tried it out. Check with him. I'd be in for splits too on that...

Kingdom today. This works a lot better as a summer scent than I expected.

I also just tested this and was quite impressed. I'd be open to getting IN on a split but am not the best person to DO the splitting since Canada has higher prices, tax rates, and considerably higher shipping too.

    really? Hadn't expected that.

Today, saturday at the office and decided to bust out a heaping helping of Tuscany (Aramis). After a certain point, it does get a tad obnoxious.

This is a severe understatement of what I was coming in here to post.

The Creed Royal Oud is pretty nice. I liked it. I don't know it's totally my thing, but it's a pretty "good oud". [IMG]

Van Cleef Eau du Tsar today. Too heavy for me. My short list keeps getting shorter.

My Creed Silver Mountain Water seems to be weaker lately, not sure what's up with that. Maybe my nose is just failing

    Haven't posted in forever!

Anyway, I'm in southern metropolitan Japan now, where it's 95 daily with 95% humidity. SWELTERING. Packed subways, packed everywhere.

The other day I did my bi-annual "Crowd Pleaser" in which I pick an exceptionally hot and crowded day to wear an inordinate amount of pure Jicky Parfum.

Ah, it was lovely. I stunk so good. I also had, despite the crowds, a 3 foot space cushion the entire day. :)

Today I'm wearing Ungaro II. This week is "Civet Fest," in which I will wear Rose Poivree, Givenchy Gentleman, Shalimar, Jicky, Kouros, and vintage Rochas Moustache. these are all lovely civet monsters, guaranteed to frighten off the masses.

    I'm not surprised!

It's the vegetable notes, especially the celery, in the heart of the fragrance that make it work okay as a summer scent. I certainly wouldn't go so far as to say it makes a good summer scent--just that it's better than I thought it would be.

Premier Figuier today, which really is a good summer scent.

Geranium Pour Monsieur - pleasant enough I suppose.
