    how is pour monsieur?
It's a favorite of mine. Not a lot of sillage, but it is noticeable when someone comes in close. It has a real classic scent profile to me and seems pretty timeless. It lasts all day for me as a close-range scent. It's hard to find in the US, but easily available most everywhere else. Today, Shalimar edp

Today - OJ Zizan - Something in the drydown has an absinthe quality to it. Maybe its the heat.

Yesterday I managed to squeeze in 3 scents: ANGELIQUES SOUS LA PLUIE I already mentioned, but it was so short lived I then tried Musc Ravageur- very nice but I was surprised at how pronounced the vanilla was. Went out last night and asked my wife to wear Mitsouko, which I love. I wore Knize 10 I just received from Rambo (thanks Rambo!). I love Knive 10 too, leather, tobacco, and a creamy smooth drydown. Beautiful scent.

Wore ELDO TILDA SWINTON LIKE THIS today. It reminded me of Jasmin and Cigarette, except iris and not such strong tobacco. There was something in it that was really irratating to my nose though.

Went downtown today and stopped Barney's. Talked the SA into giving me a sample PORTRAIT OF A LADY. A quick test smelled like a rose oriental. Looking forward to a test of it.

    Ungaro III today.

Bonus Secretions Magnifiques update: My gf came to visit me this weekend and wanted to try my Secretions Magnifiques. (Joke is too obvious, so I will refrain from making it.) She literally gagged. (Joke again too obvious.) She ran to the bathroom and almost threw up. She was nauseated for about 20 minutes thereafter. This means I will have fewer opportunities to wear one of my favorite fragrances. :*(

Must have a curse on me or something. I got my fragrancex.com order today in the mail - I had ordered a 4oz Creed Original Santal from them last Wednesday (pretty prompt shipping and arrival). I excitedly opened the box to find a 2.5 oz bottle instead of the 4oz one.[IMG]

Well, time to send another bottle back to an e-retailer. Plus side - this one looked completely authentic.

Chanel PM - (I have come to realize it is very easy to find here in Canada as opposed to the US. Let this be a first. I find its longevity to be quite poor so far; I guess it's there, but it definitely sits close to the skin. I'm totally a chypre guy, I just wish I could find one that is a bit more of a powerhouse. Suggestions? Tiffany? PdN New York? I have some of the AdPs and adore them.)

In other news, UPS called me today and told me that I owe $35 C.O.D. on a $40 bottle of L'Instant that just arrived. Unbelievable.

CPM is one of my favorites; I don't think its supposed to have a lot of projection though. Maybe you should try Mitsouko if you like chypres? I find the drydown of Bois du Portugal to be a little reminiscent of the drydown of CPM.

    Today, Bois du Portugal

CPM Concentree - the one available domestically. Quite a pleasant lemon milkshake experience.
