Jubilation XXV for me today. This is one of my biggest fragrance disappointments in recent memory. I really want to like it. I keep trying it, hoping to smell something I hadn't noticed before. But I think I have to conclude that I just don't like it. The super-sweet fruity note ruins it for me.

It's a bit like sticking your nose into a bag of mixed dried fruits.

Wore Bois d'Orage yesteray and, it being the weekend, I didn't shower and I threw on the same shirt as yesterday. I covered the BdO (still strong from yesterday) with some Jicky edc for a beautiful day at the Huntington Library and Botanical Gardens. I don't usually mix scents exept for this way - one day to the next when I don't shower. It made for a lovely blend.

What do you think of Bois d'Orage? I'm torn.

I don't love it. It has a sharp woody quality that's always hard for me to deal with. I get the same effect from Ormonde Man and a few others - if that woody note doesn't soften over time I get scent fatigue.

I'm kind of in the same boat but every now and then I wear it and think it smells AMAZING. Then, its meh again. Weird.

^^ agreed as well...it's not bad, but overwhelmed by a huge synthetic. Ditto for OJ Man.

Poivre 23 again today. I absolutely love this stuff. Shame I can't buy a whole bottle easily or for an anywhere near reasonable price.
