It's the first day of the semester, which I always treat like opening day of the baseball season: the ace of the staff gets the honor of making the start. So today it's L'Air du Desert Marocain, which might help in reducing my class sizes.

Anybody know how you can tell the vintage M7 from the reformulated? I've had a full bottle for several years now that I never use. I suspect its vintage but I'm not sure.
Wha?? M7 is my favorite fragrance. Looks like I have one of the new bottles (from about 2 years ago). Clear with a maroon back panel. I remember that it smelled a little different than the original tester vial I had first tried. Still good, but just different (less mossy, less olive-y). Makes me want to hunt down the older version. Wearing the "new" M7 today.

Great one in winter. Do you layer it? It's one of the best Bonds to layer. I always enjoyed playing it off of various types of lighter top-note frags (try it with something Jasmine, or floral... and it's lovely)

Caron Bellodgia for me today... warm, rich carnation with some spice.

    ^^
I never thought to layer it, but now that you mention it, a citrus would go nice as well.

Vol de Nuit for me today.

Starting a 3 month no-buy...I've been buying at least a bottle a week lately...it's getting out of hand. Stop the madness! [IMG]

Always a good choice. Which concentration? I had a chance to try Vega a month or so back... wow... lovely. I'd never spend the $300+ for it, but it was really gorgeous... screamed Guerlain, but unique and definitely stands alongside Chamade, Shalimar, Jicky, et. al. I've been on a largely 2 year no-buy (or, almost!) After I got up over 100-150 bottles, I realized it was a bit ridiculous, and then scaled back to a set of "core" fragrances. Caron l'infini parfum for me today. In the same universe as Vol de Nuit, but with more floral notes. It would not be in one of my "core" scents, but I got a really good deal on some older Caron scents and couldn't resist. I gave most to my mother, who loves it, but kept a small bit for myself to wear...
