Went with Parfums de Nicolai - New York. Just arrived last night, initial impression was that this was Obsession all over again, but today it seems a bit more. It's got a bit more pungency in the drydown, and I'm liking it. Finally.

Opus 1870 from Penhaligon. One spray and it stays all day.

Was feeling sick yesterday, and couldn't even think about applying any perfume. Since I'm feeling slighly better, I think I will shower up and apply YSL - L'Homme for the first time.

I've heard it has a "leather jacket" feel to it. Any truth?

I finally rolled out of bed at the ungodly hour of 4:20 after waking up at 1:00, 2:15, and 3:10. Made some coffee, showered, shaved, and pulled on my running shoes to race the half-marathon today. I wore Signoricci for its simplicity and clarity. Nothing perfum-ey on this one, just a good clear herbal lemon.

Slept like a log last night and decided to try something new (to me) and obscure... Maestro by Simon Chang. Received it as a generous freebie with another bottle I ordered, and it is quite good. It's similar to New West with the rosemary/lavender bit, but not quite so flinty - a little bit of spice serves to give it some depth. It's a keeper.

Trying out my sample of Jasmin et Cigarette; I like it so far, despite it being a "warm and happy" fragrance.

I don't really get tobacco from it; mostly jasmine, apricot and sun-warmed hay.
