Scent/Fragrance of the Day thread

I tried Chanel's Boy and Bois Des Iles today.

Boy is very, very sweet and floral. It smells like it will last forever. Not really for me though.

Bois Des Iles is a creamy sandalwood. Maybe the archetype creamy sandalwood. I think I'd love to smell it on a girlfriend but don't really like it on me, I'm not sure why. At least not enough to buy it.

I would like to try 1957 on the skin at some point's I'm guessing it will smell something like Frederick Malle's Cologne Indelebile, which I own and love.

ordered the full dries sample set. Pretty good deal, 70 bucks for the full set and then you can apply the 70 dollars towards a full bottle purchase. reviews for the scents seem…fine but I guess we’ll see! Really beautiful bottles is a small nice touch.

Penhaligons Halfeti via tester bottle. I have to say, I really like Halfeti (and flankers) along with several of the Portraits series scents that I've tried. I'm not usually a sucker for marketing either but I find the bottle / brand image presentation also quite effective.

Caught a great ebay deal on an unopened 100ml of the legendary discontinued Narcisso Rodriquez For Him EDT and I'm already mourning the day it runs out. Maybe the best musky violet leaf ever made.

tried amouage portrayal today...really surprised that everyone mentions dior fahrenheit when discussing it because to me it smells quite a bit like antaeus??

i like portrayal so far but debating whether i like it enough for a full bottle..
