There is still work to be done - the images in existing sigs are not yet linked, for example, and we are working on a way to get the images to load faster - which will improve the performance of the site, especially on the pages with a ton of images, and we will continue to work diligently on that and keep you updated.

For a long, long time the signature - called Guerlainade - was a part of most compositions, and iirc it's a vanilla-based composition, a bit animalic (castoreum), and herbal. Recent compositions seem to be diverging from this, though.

Mmm, very interesting. Thanks! It would seem the more recent ones just aren't the same. Here's to buying vintage [IMG]

Yeah, I loaded up on a few vintage Chanels and now seem to be in SABLE territory, particularly since I hardly wear them.

    Today, speaking of Guerlain...Habit Rouge.

Creed Himalaya- a quiet and reserved version of Creed Millesime Imperial's tanned citrus expanse.

    Today: Knize Ten, applied sparingly.

FWIW: my first decant of K10 was a bit different from what I now have, and even then between the bottle and the two decants, they aren't quite on the same page all the time. I will say that they're close enough though. The first time I tried K10, it was suffocation by big, powdery carnations, which I still notice today, but the amber and leather notes help to balance it out.

Creed GIT [SPLIT] is on for a second try. I'll be picking up the flacon sometime in the next few days so that we don't have a repeat of it selling out.

Body Kouros. Just got a bottle from Big Punisher. I like it a lot, and despite what I've read, I do detect the familial resemblance to original Kouros. They both have that spicy, incensey, room deodorizor vibe. This one lacks the 4 AM-in-the-bathroom-at-Plato's-Retreat undercurrent, and adds those nice sweet gourmand notes.

Hmmm, I may have to try that one again someday.

Today, though, I considered Winter Delice but decided that it was too wet and overcast, and went with Antaeus instead.

Used my sample of Signoricci today. Basically one of the only citrus scents I can stand. It's already disappearing after 2 hours. [IMG]

^^ weird, on me Signoricci lasts quite a while - easily into the afternoon. Then again, I gave up deodorant soaps a while back so that might have an effect.

Today: Chanel Pour Monsieur to close out the year.

Anyone tried any one of the three new Odin fragrances? I guess they are so new that Basenoters have yet to provide any reviews.
