I was planning on wearing Tauer's Orris for a test-drive and subsequent review, but completely forgot to put anything on. Instead I'll seek out something else - maybe Lauder for Men or some such over lunch.

Okay, Lauder for Men. Not bad thus far, smells better than the price would indicate, although it's an 80's scent through and through.

I'm wearing Nichole Miller. Sprayed about an hour ago, and it's really developed. Really good smell at the spray, but now developed a more mellow, more complex smell. This stuff is really nice. Me likey.

Today: Tauer Orris. It's not very flowery, though. It comes roaring at you all dry woods and fiery incense, with a bit of iris underneath it all. Full, expansive, I think this might be natural iris root and not the synthetic. It's unsettling to have Iris being this assertive.

Creed GIT

Last time I wore it, it wore off in one hour. Today Im going on 9 hours and I haven't done anything different. Actually I went to the gym for one hour. But still...iiiinteresting.

This will sound kinda dumb, but if you hydrate your skin daily with a non-scented lotion or moisturizer... you'll get much better longevity from your fragrances.

Some people find Creed to be very fleeting, but I find that they just tend to become very subtle and don't project like a lot of synthetic, cheaper fragrances. Creed won't knock you down.

Nevertheless, some become VERY subtle to the point of being almost imperceptible. As such, some moisturizer daily will help a lot.

Today is a Burberry day. Wore the original yesterday, feeling London today.

Another tip to make stuff last longer - spray on your forearm. Hair follicles hold scent longer.

L'Artisan Verte Violette for me today.

Interesting... I never tried that one. Is that a new one? About 4-5 years ago I started a big L'a P kick and probably went through 15 different ones until stopping a year or so back. My favorite is still probably Timbuktu, though Dzongkha had a weird stoniness that I loved. The only one I never really warmed up to much was Passade d'enfer and Poivre Piquant, though strangely enough that was one that got more compliments than any other scent I ever wore. Wet and yucky weather, so Shalimar for me today.

How's the Soda? Also does 212 smell like the Herrera store (if you've ever been in one)? I have a CH candle that smells like that and it's nice, would be interested to see how it is in perfume form. Not terribly impressed with my sample of JV: Artisan. I guess I wanted it to be more citrus and less blossomy. Also, sillage doesn't seem as good as the other scents.
