1. And... we're back. You'll notice that all of your images are back as well, as are our beloved emoticons, including the infamous :foo: We have also worked with our server folks and developers to fix the issues that were slowing down the site.

There is still work to be done - the images in existing sigs are not yet linked, for example, and we are working on a way to get the images to load faster - which will improve the performance of the site, especially on the pages with a ton of images, and we will continue to work diligently on that and keep you updated.

No, I haven't. I wonder what the percentage of Iso E Super is in Black Pepper?

Yesterday: Diptyque L'Autre. Minty Middle Eastern spice market. I love it.
Today: Une Fleur de Cassie. Definitely not for everybody, but it's right up there among my couple of favorites.

Not strictly a "scent" but I picked up an Arko shaving soap for a laugh. I haven't shaved with that stuff for years and could never really place what the smell was.

Well, the ingredients list says it all: it's the most synthetic of lemon mixes (limonene-linalool-citronellol-geraniol). I think the lemongrass-like citronellol - which is not that often present in synthetic hesperides - may be why people associate it with urinal puck.

Quite fun in its extremism and a world apart from the more natural Cyril Salter stuff, or Tabac's much more restrained scent.

I'm wearing Tom of Finland today. One of my best compliment getters.

Anyone have any older (pre-2015) Le Labo Rose 31 they don't want any longer? or willing to offer a decant?

Sorry for the spam. Is there a fragrance trade/buy/sell thread? I couldn't find it if it exits.

Hey Parker, there's no sales/swap thread on here, but there certainly is one on Basenotes, if you're a member.

Today I'm wearing Terre d'Hermes EdT. This bottle is from 2006-2007. This is such a fantastic fragrance and a true modern classic. I'll never forget the first time I smelled it and how strange and unique it was, and yet smelled so good.

Pre-shower: Hermann à mes côtés me paraissait une ombre. It's a sour, cold-stony incense. Very well executed, just not in the style I typically enjoy. I think a lot of you would like it, though.
SOTD: True Lust Rayon Violet de Ses Yeux.

Pre-shower: Lys 41. I enjoy it quite a bit, but not quite enough for it to be a regular in the rotation.
    SOTD: TF Sahara Noir.

I occasionally scan eBay for fake Fords out of Russia and Turkey but every once in a while I see a legit source with something I've never heard of which ends up being a new release, WAY before anyone's even heard of it. So apparently there's a new scent coming out called Ombre Leather 16?

The combination of French and English in the name is very Tom Ford. The 16 is unusual, though.

Oh wow, maybe I'm out of the loop? I mean had never even heard of it and saw one random eBay listing so did some digging and assumed it was someone inside selling one early. They keep launching these things so fast it's hard to keep up.

The basenoter said that he got it from an inside contact. The speculation was that TF was keeping it under wraps until after the Vert series was released.
