Lot of those are women's fragrances, should join the Purse Forum hehehe!

I just read a thread on Basenotes where more than one person was insisting that Portrait of a Lady could not be worn by a man--too feminine.

There's a lot of loud marsupials on Basenotes.

Pre-shower: Fat Electrician
SOTD: Coromandel

I have petitioned Chanel to issue a limited edition called Coro-Mantel in honor of pro wrestling legend Dirty Dutch Mantel. I am not optimistic, though.

I've been pushing for a special edition Rowdy Roddy Piper Nigrum for years now, so good luck.

Sprayed CdG Blue Santal on my right wrist this evening. It's very bracing and quite soapy in a conventional way. I wont give up on this one, though.

Does anybody here wear a scent that you don't particularly find pleasant, but nonetheless wear because you feel it's the best representation of yourself? To put it another way, can a scent be successfully used as a self-aware act of self-loathing? Most of the scents I like I would generally describe as optimistic and happy (citrus, amber, vanilla, mossy, spicy, etc.) , but I feel like I'm selling my pessimism short by not wearing a scent that distills Scrooge into a bottle. I don't know if these happier scents do anything for me. Part of me hopes to find a scent that is moderately distasteful or vulgar, almost as if its aspiring to not really appeal to people, but a scent that nonetheless can be accepted by them (or maybe even respected!).

Well nothing says "self loathing" like always thinking you smell like ****.

SOTD: TF Arabian Wood. This is sooooo good. I bought this a couple of weeks ago, having never tried it before. (I think I overlooked it when it came out because it was a Kuwait exclusive.) It starts out very green, but develops from there into a really high quality woody rose.
