1. And... we're back. You'll notice that all of your images are back as well, as are our beloved emoticons, including the infamous :foo: We have also worked with our server folks and developers to fix the issues that were slowing down the site.

There is still work to be done - the images in existing sigs are not yet linked, for example, and we are working on a way to get the images to load faster - which will improve the performance of the site, especially on the pages with a ton of images, and we will continue to work diligently on that and keep you updated.

Today, for a lazy, foggy Sunday: Bois des Iles EdT. It's like a warm, oaky New World chardonnay.

Pre-shower: In the City of Sin (Kilian). It's similar to Feminite du Bois with a big plummy note and woody base. There's also a bergamot note at the top that brightens it up a bit. Even though it's similar to Feminite du Bois, which I like, I don't really like this a lot.

SOTD: Dior Patchouli Imperial. One of the great patchoulis of our era.

Bois d'Ascese by Naomi Goodsir is what I'm wearing as my SOTE. Smells like a campfire, but there's also something a little bit boozy in there. It's not really my kind of scent, but I can definitely see some of the regulars here liking it.

Not sure if you'll believe me, but I'm wearing POAL as my SOTD.

Rien today and Féminité du Bois in the evening. Enjoyed both. The latter reminds me a bit of Tea for Two and Santal Blush with a touch of cinnamon.

Today: Safran Troublant. Smells like saffron risotto.

^^ I like that one a lot. I should really get another decant.

It's so lovely, warm, and soft.

Tonight: Fille en Aiguilles - the official fragrance of Christmas.

Amouage Memoir Man. Used up the sample. It's probably too much of a niche scent (no pun intended) to buy a decant, but I like it.

Today I'm wearing/testing Dali Homme, the black bottle with the lips cap. it's a spicey dirty tobacco scent. I was afraid this would be too twisted/weird or offensive or something and probably too mature but I've got to say I actually quite like it. It's sort of like Tobacco Oud as it's base but a lot less pure as an accord. There's more spice, earth, etc. It's a gritty texture and dark brown with black flecks. Reasonable projection, longevity I'm only a couple of hours in so too soon to tell.

Been a little slack in updating here. Monday was Iris de Nuit and yesterday was Couer de Vetiver Sacre. Today will be Tubereuse 3.
