I've always admired the way Cary Grant wears a scarf in "To Catch a Thief". The last Brooks Brothers catalog also has a few models wearing a scarf. Needless to say, I'd like to try wearing one.

How does one wear a scarf? What is a male scarf? (is it the same as a women's?) Where do you buy a nice scarf from? How do you buy a scarf?

thousands of thanks,

I believe the OP is talking about ascots -- don't recall any actual (long) scarves in To Catch a Thief. Cary Grant looked rather stylish, as always, in that movie.

Actually, I assumed the OP was speaking of this scarf. Not the best pic, but what I could find quickly.

Here is a nice how-to-wear guide.

To not emasculate, wool in solid, somewhat muted colors generally is safest.
