I have become a big fan of Scandinavian designers over the last several years. Sleek efficient styles that are well made.

I hope folks will share some others (and products) that they like too! That is really the point of this thread - to get some new ideas.

Below is my list of designers by country. I also included the stuff I like/own for each designers.

    Denmark

    (1) Mismo:

I love my soft navy work bag: https://www.mismo.dk/collections/briefcases/products/soft-work-navy-dark-brown

I want to get the navy backpack and maybe the navy suit carrier

    (2) SNS Herning:

I have 4 stark cardigans. They are very well make, sleek and durable.

I also have 2 helix long sleeves which are excellent. The metallic is my favorite.

the new reference jackets look pretty sweet, too.

    Sweden

    (1) Dunderdon.
Kind of like a Swedish Carhart.

I have a tan version of this jacket.

    (2) Hestra.
I only have one pair to date but like them very much.

    Norway

    (1) Norwegian Rain. Stylish, well make and warm overcoats. I have the Moscow in black herringbone and really like it. And it is warm!

I am thinking about getting one of these 3 for spring rain. Most likely the double brested.

    Iceland.

    (1) Farmer and Friends
A small local brand I ran across. An interesting rustic look.

I got the Keldur on sale in brown and its a nice casual coat. Icelandic wool I think.

I keep meaning to get the Muli cardigan but it hasnt gone on sale so I need to suck it up.

Denmark has many good brands. Norse Projects still has very well made simple products and Han Kjobenhavn has their own bad boy aestethic with bit of a more aggressive fit. At least on par with SNS sweaters Andersen - Andersen makes very simple and stylish fisherman sweaters. Sweden has also Acne Studios. I am happy to own 2 of their leathers and one sweater.

    thanks Tuma.

I am looking into those. Which sweaters do you own from Acne?

I am also looking for a spring rain coat and Norse Projects has some nice options. Now I just need to find a NYC retailer that carries them.

Finland seems to be a periphery what comes to menswear / street style. Even though there is logical reasons for that too Finland being slightly colder place than other Scandinavian countries. Any way there's some quite interesting Finnish brands. For example R-collection is a outdoorsy casual brand making very good quality stuff based on Finnish relaxed mentality. Think cottage, camping and stuff like that.

From Acne I have bought over sized sweater called Fant. And Oliver leather jacket.

    thanks Tuma.

R-collection reminds my a bit of Dunderdon.

Its a shame the Dunderdon store closed in NYC.
