You won't find Leafs tickets around Maple Leaf Gardens as the Leafs haven't played there in ten years. I see scalpers all the time around the Air Canada Centre though.

yeah yeah yeah, I do that all the time. When you grow up with something being called something, you just roll with it.

Does anyone have any experiance with the scalpers? Is it a tough ticket or is it just sold out because business bougt the tickets?

If you're prepared to pay what it takes, you won't have a problem getting a ticket. Getting two together will be a taller (and more expensive) order. The Leafs are one of the few teams whereby you can get a decent amount for a single.

When I say "pay what it takes" keep in mind that we're talking hundreds and, for a team that is utterly terrible and not worth watching; hell, I would give you my tickets if clients, for reasons beyond me given that I'm not a Leafs fan in the slightest, weren't lining up for them.

One thing that might be good for you is that I think the prices of scalped tickets are going down. Small anecdote: I had 4 tickets a month ago and one guy dropped out, so I went to sell the ticket to a scalper which I have done a bunch of times. I asked for my usual $125 for the $250 face value ticket, but the guy said he could only do $80 (as did the other guys I talked to). His quote was "welcome to the new economy..."

Why not visit the Leafs website and buy from there? I assume they have the same TicketExchange program the Ducks do. I just bought Ducks tickets for their next upcoming game on the ice (2nd row) for about $100 a ticket. I'm sure that's cheaper and better seats than I'd get from a scalper. Of course I don't know the correlation in prices between the two teams though.

Wow, went on their website for that 2/14 game and they are sold out. I've never seen that before for the Ducks, as you can buy from season ticket holders on their website and there are always tickets available. I'd try Craigslist and ebay if I were you then.

yeah - I thought so too, but my friend whos a big fan says they are always sold out, lots of corporate people buy them. I checked ebay, etc... its wicked expensive to get tickets cause its the pens... I was hoping someone in TO would have mercy on a fellow SF'er and have a way to get some for me at face value. I am not going to take a chance on getting tickets that are affordable at the game.

I don't know what to say. I never thought it would be that tough for a regular season hockey game. I went to the last Ducks game vs. the Red Wings and got on the ice seats as well the day before the game for less than ticket value, and the Wings have a huge following here and it was sold out too. Good luck with your search. At least you have time on your side.
