Sartoria Vanni (Florence) -- Why did I get a fused sportcoat??

Hi, all. First time post here. Does anybody have familiarity with Sartoria Vanni (Florence, Italy)? I ordered a sportcoat from them during a recent vacation to Italy -- the shop looked great, the online reviews seemed good, and the price point wasn't insane. Well, I received my sportcoat in the mail recently. While the fit and styling is great, the sportcoat is 100% fused. I was expecting a fully canvased product, and yet it isn't even half canvassed. I am equal parts shocked and confused. And maybe a little pissed off. I certainly wasn't expecting to pay $1400 for a 100% fused sportcoat, no matter how great the styling is.

Does anyone have experience with Satoria Vanni? Did I get taken somehow, or did I not read the fine print??

You got what you paid for?

Vanni is not bespoke. Yes, to be honest, you got swindled. Sorry! Try to just enjoy the garment for what it is: a garment that you like the styling of. Nothing more you can do. Vanni, as I understand it, is not good quality.

We seem to believe that everything from Italy is high quality. Just ask someone
who owned a FIAT from 20 years ago. Where I live, the San Francisco area, FIAT
stood for " Fix it again Tony" Full disclosure: my own clothing Isaia, Belvest, Battistoni,
Sartoria Partenopea RTW, is very high quality

I definitely was not expecting bespoke -- it was clearly a MTM using a try-on garment as the base measurement (similar to Kent Wang and Proper Cloth). Based on the unfinished goods laying around the shop and various statements made on the website, I reasonably expected it would be full canvas construction. If it had been even half canvas, I would have just chalked it up to my own faulty assumptions. The lack of canvas even in the lapel was just stunning to me (it's clearly just fusing in the lapel). I guess I'm wondering whether I received what everyone else who shops there receives, or if they pegged me for the dumb American who wouldn't know any better.

Lesson learned, I guess.

I definitely do not have that belief.
