"Sartoria" Label/Made in Italy???

I recently picked up a regulary priced $2,295 Super 150s suit at a good discount. It's a pretty dark navy with alternating gold and silver stripes and stitching on the lapels. It looks like the button hole stitching beneath each sleeve button could be converted to working button holes -- not sure about that. I have mixed feelings about the suit and may not keep it but I'm now curious to try and find out something about the maker. (I'm obviously not knowledgable about Italian suits).

The jacket is private labeled (store's name) with "Siena" beneath the name of the store. The price tag is atatched to a plastic emblem which reads "Sartoria" on one side, Made in Italy" on the other. Likewise, the waistband of the pants is labeled "Sartoria". Does anyone know anything about who made the suit?

If that suit is a 42R (Sartorio 54R), then it is utter rubbish. Let me help you get rid of it right now!

I have a Sartorio Jacket that I like very much. IMO they run a little small.

I think Sartorio uses less delicate fabrics than Kiton. The construction is also a little heavier. I would rate it below the Isaia but above Samuelsohn.

Thanks for your response. I had found a thread reference to a "Sartorio" -- maybe the thread you referred me to. However, the tag emblem and waistband on this suit actually reads "Sartoria" so not sure if it would be the same? It's actually a 40R.
