This is kinda weird to me... you'd think an assistant with a limited coaching resume would jump at a NFL coaching job? Maybe there's more to this situation.

True, but I think Sariskian was making like $300k at USC at the most as co-offensive coordinator. You'd think Al would have offered at least $1-2M per, and likely more than that considering that college HCs at decent programs are getting $1-2M with regularity. Maybe Sariskian figures Pete will take a NFL HC position and he will inherit USC but if he thinks that, his sanity should probably be reevaluated.
