Good Morning Gentleman,

would like to order Santoni Goodyear Double Monkstraps and wear usually UK 8 in CJ and Alden Tassels. Now i have the option to buy the Santonis in 7,5 through a Internet Shop, but heard that they run pretty big. As they are in Sale I can not return them, so would like to ask if downsizing only a half size will be enough?

Would appreciate any help.

thank you

I'm normally a 10D and wear a 9.5 Santoni, if that helps.

I think 1/2 size should be sufficient.

If it its any help - I have a BNIB pair of Santoni monks FAM brand new that I am selling - I tried them on for reference and can say that the size is pretty much true to size for UK size. Ie these are 12F and I am usually 11UK in CJs or 12D US and I would say these are one size too big at most. Could not see more difference than that.
Check photos if your are interested - they are fabulous shoes!

thanks for helping

I also think UK 7,5 will be fine, but heard a lot of people recommending to downsize a full size, can somebody confirm that?

2 pair of Santoni shoes myself....I agree with the others.

my true size is a US 9D

I buy my Santoni's on 8.5D.

So run .5 large from my experience

I will just add to the confusion of this thread. 3 pairs of FAM Santoni owned (one is a double monkstrap). My regular size is 11D, all three are 11D and fit very well.

I've had this discussion with Santoni reps in the past; Some Santoni shoes are labeled with Uk sizes, some Italian, and some in US sizes. Depends on what market they were made for. I wear 8.5 US; I have FAMs marked 7, 7.5 and 8. All fit the same.

I realize at this point that this question is quite old, but on the off-chance anybody stumbles upon this thread more recently like I just did, I'm going to answer.

I have a pair of Santoni Chelsea boots. I wear an 8.5 (sometimes 9) US for just about everything. I find that a 41 (European) is fine but can be a little long, so I've also got some 40 and 40.5 as well.

The size labeled on my Santoni boots is 6. Yes. 6.

Hope this helps!
