    Those do look really nice!
Style is an interesting thing as it's fully subjective and I mention this because that bulky style also tends to show up in the Santoni Norvagese(sp?) shoes and they charge one hell of a premium for those shoes.

    Hey Mr Monty,

Could use your advice, regarding the Griffins. Still debating to keep or sell and was getting ready to go with the latter and post them in SF's classified tonight. The thing is, I like these shoes so much and would love to keep them. The problem is they are a size or size and a half too large.

I sketched out about where my toes go. In general these are about half an inch longer in total length than a few other santonis in 13 that I own. Including another burgundy oxford that is oh so similar to these just not in Shell. I'll snap a pic tomorrow of them with heels touching to visualize. Those other ones fit. When it comes to laceups with Santoni I'm probably more of a 12. I have a high instep so loafers in 12 rarely work so often move to 13.

Anyhow, can you relate your fit in the shoes to these. Do yours run pretty big too, or are you much further up in the toe box? Thanks for advice. Here's a pic:

Almost all my shoes fit like that. I like to have room in my toes otherwise they end up crushed and I can't wear them. And Santoni tend to make very elongated lasts, my chelseas in 8.5 UK (which are tight) measure the same lenght as my Carmina's in 9.5 UK.

This is pic from the inside of the shoe, so you can get an idea of where my toes are. I spoiler them in case you don't want to see them hehehe. :D
