1. And... we're back. You'll notice that all of your images are back as well, as are our beloved emoticons, including the infamous :foo: We have also worked with our server folks and developers to fix the issues that were slowing down the site.

There is still work to be done - the images in existing sigs are not yet linked, for example, and we are working on a way to get the images to load faster - which will improve the performance of the site, especially on the pages with a ton of images, and we will continue to work diligently on that and keep you updated.

Thank you, @Betelgeuse What's more is... That I also just picked these Santoni Urban Chukka Boots off of the Bay in my size for 150. So, 3 pairs of Santonis in a week for around $350.

There are other pairs of New (With and without Box) in other sizes of these boots. But many of them seem to be between 2-3 hundred dollars. They are very comfy, and the leather is butter soft though. Very enjoyable shoe :)

That shoe is called "Griffin". Got mine on sale over 10 years. The retail was around $500 back then. Up until a few years ago Sherman Brothers and I think TheShoeMart were selling them online for $1000+. Which Chicago store had them???

Thanks for update. And actually old posts from you were one of a few I saw that led me to realize they were Griffins. I remember a few years back they were on sale on one of those sites. They had a non shell version for much less than the shell version for like $1k or more. I remember it because that was my first and only time seeing shell cordovan from Santoni. I thought this could be those when I bought them just didn't think there would be a brand new shoe in mint condition lying around from like nine years ago.

They are gone from those sites now. There is one shoe archive type site that has them, shows the price at $1550! I wish they were size 12, but at 13 not yet sure what I'll do. If shoes are a little big that's fine, but once there is a heel slip I get concerned. Have only tried these on a few times so not yet sure if they will or won't work.

Randomly found them at the Chicago Ave store.

I also saw the site with the $1550 price. Thanks for the info.

I took a pic yesterday comparring the Carmina Inca last vs the Santoni Last... which I don't know which one is it. But they are both almond shaped. Consider the Carmina is 9.5 UK and the Santoni 8.5 UK... it is a very elongated and narrow (compared to Inca) last. They would be perfect (the chelseas) if they were in 9 UK.

Plus... look at the patina the chelseas are developing. I use them very light, they have almost 3.5 years but to be honest if they have 20 wears is a lot, plus I use them only for just a few hours (around 4 hours when I wear them).
