Get it right, white boy. Edit: You mean the owners are purposely misspelling it? I guess that how those redneck Peruvians roll... GT, you should take a stroll through North Beach. Loads of great Italian places to be found.

I think it's often spelled ceviche, seviche, and cebiche, depending on where you're from/ whatever else. But I don't really know. I just know about the restaurant.

mmm, ceviche. [stomach growls]

This probably isn't the best thing to do there, but it intrigues me. I recently read it's the #1 US city for consumption of Fernet Branca. Supposedly there are a lot of bars that specialize in serving it. You might want to check that out.

If you're into 'Merican food, hit Lori's Diner, particularly the one on Powell St. Kitschy 1950's style diner with cars on the walls serving things like burgers, grilled cheese, and full breakfasts.

Worth going if you do nothing else but get one of their milkshakes. Not exactly Barney's milkshakes, but unlike Barney's they're drinkable without a fork.

Chez Panise is across the bridge, in Berkeley.

My favorite fancy place to eat is Boulevard. My favorite "happening" place to eat is the Slanted Door.

You really should go to a Cantonese dive in Chinatown and get some noodles. My favorite place closed, but Matt told me about the R&G Lounge, and it was great. Probably better than my old dive.

I agree with these. The Ferry Building, where the Slanted Door is located, has a lot of good food as well.

I'd probably be interestied in a meal or drink. Somewhere cheap probably though -- moving costs are killing me.

Chinatown could be good, or that taqueria Matt and I discussed in the Mission. I had the tounge that night. Probably not again. Not that it was bad, but it wasn't all that good, to me.

I'm not free Tues and Thurs from 5-8. Pretty flexible other than that, afaik.

Stuff to Do:
Go to Union Square:
Go to North Beach (on columbus between Union and Broaday is where you want to be)
If you want to meet some cute girls, go to the cow hollow/marina district after 10:30 on thurs-sat

Places to eat: San Fran has some of the best dining of any major city I have ever been to. Try to get a reservation at Myst. It's damn hard, but you may get lucky if you call 4-5days in advance.
BLVD is also pretty good as previously suggested.
Try to get a reservation at Town Hall; they have some unbelievable southern food.

stay away from tourist areas, especially fisherman's wharf; there's nothing there.

Let me know if you need more suggestions; i lived there for 14 years
