Now I am really tempted to attend...
For dinner, the R&G Lounge is just two blocks away. I was thinking that would be a fun place to head at 8pm. It has been a Styleforum favorite over the years.
We went to R&G when globetrotter visited
a couple of years ago, Right?
Yes and a few other SF member visits. It is a good place for a well dress gang, plus only 2 blocks away.
I bet that I'm going to be the youngest person here.
I'll be sure to bring a bib for the salt+pepper crab.
Messy but worth it.....yummmmmmmmmmmmm
or wear a bowtie
Between the girl and the crabs (these two are not to be conflated in any way), I really do wish that I could be there. I think that you guys need to have a drink for me. Really.
I'll be driving, most likely from the UCSF building on California. Can any locals suggest a decent parking place nearby. I've already experienced the delights of SF traffic and the dearth of parking places! Any help much appreciated, cheers, TWD.
There is a garage just around the corner from Wingtip on Clay after Montgomery and another on Pine between Montgomery & Kearney (a couple of blocks from Wingtip). I'd call Wingtip and ask them for recommendations.
Add me to the list - I'll be attending (I work 2 blocks away and just joined the club, so no excuse for missing this one ;-).
Marco, glad to add you to the activities. A member huh? So, can I charge drinks to your tab?
Yes, but only one for yourself (in appreciation for organizing this soirée ;-)
[quote. Also, as much as you could say this about any city, is SF considered a more or less formal type of place when it comes to business (medical field)? Thanks and I look forward to meeting some igents soon.[/quote]
SF is an extremely casual city. I typically where a suit or odd jacket/trousers & tie to work and I rarely see more than a dozen men wearing coat and tie on any given day.
