I love Chevy's. But it's not as good as what one finds in el barrio, except maybe for the chips.

Chevy's is for gringos. The salsa wouldn't begin to clean the chrome on a low-rider.

OK, who was it? Pepper Spraying Man Robs Swanky Union Square Clothing Store by April Siese April 29, 2011 2:25 PM A man with quite the passion for fashion robbed a high-end store in Union Square this week. The suspect was so fierce, he even pepper-sprayed a clerk in his pursuit of style. According to SFPD, at 11:44 AM Wednesday, a 40something male fashionista parked a "silver Toyota with paper plates" in front of a store on the swanky stretch of Geary between Grant and Stockton. He then went into the store, pepper sprayed the 27-year-old female clerk in the eyes "then grabbed several racks of clothing, ran out of the store, and fled." The Ex, more specifically, said the stolen items in question were "several handbags." Because a guy wants a variety of ways to carry his pepper spray and Toyota keys. The clerk was treated at the scene, and is going to be OK. Witnesses say the man was wearing a baseball cap, hooded sweatshirt with large logo on the back, and dark jeans. http://sfappeal.com/news/2011/04/fas...pper-spray.php I guess we'll be looking for whoever is flashing a new handbag at the meet up.

Is House of Shields open again? I know it was closed for a while.

And Chevy's? Really? For shame. Plenty of good mexican in SF and none of it is found there.

Osha Thai on 2nd just a stones throw away could accomodate a pretty big group among other spots nearby.

Is this a veteran type thing to see friends or would noobs be encouraged to join? I obviously know none of you but am typically game for a night with a new crowd. You always learn interesting things-- and in SF people do a lot of cool jobs.

Alas, I'll be out of town... Somebody holler if we have crazy date-shuffling or split meetings again. Maybe I can make it to one of the alternatives.
