I happened across a thread by AAAC member Will that I thought was quite interesting and may be of some interest to members here as well. I will copy the text in and add a poll. Apologies to Will if he would prefer I not do this.

Separately, an English tailor and an Italian tailor, each of whom does very nice work, have asked whether it makes business sense for them to travel to San Francisco for the first time.

I don't think it's appropriate to share their names publicly, and recognize that it's very difficult for men to say they are interested in something without knowing the details, but I'd like to ask how many West Coast members looking for high quality and well-priced bespoke ($3,000) suits, odd jackets and trousers might be willing to support a visit by one or both with an initial order.

I love the idea. Unfortunately, I have champagne tastes and a beer budget. Chan is my default now, though I'd love to hear more about the not-yet-named tailors' style.

Yes please. I'm happy with my current suitmaker, but a tailor for odd pants would be very welcome.

I said that I would like to be put on the list. However, before I committed, I would want to know more about these particular tailors and their house styles. I would also want to know a little more about price, fittings, estimated time for the process, etc. That said, it would be very nice if we had a few good bespoke options here in San Francisco.

Very interested, but I would want to know particulars about the style of the cut so I would know if it works well on my body. Any chance of Southern California?

There have to be more interested parties out there.

Guess I am late to the party; researching tailors and learning about bespoke atm.

Anyone have a list of traveling tailors to the west coast?

I've got to agree with Parker on this one. Hell, I don't have bespoke anything, but I don't intend for this to last forever.

If the Italian tailor is your beloved Rubinacci, I'm in.

Doubtful, as Rubinacci starts at double the price quoted by Will.
