I want to order some S5000BK, but am not sure what size because I want as slim a fit as possible

The sites that I've e-mailed suggested ordering true to size (32), but I want to go down to a 31. I have skull 5010xx 6x6 in a 31, which I couldnt button at all at first, but then stretched to a near perfect fit. So my question is, should I risk it with the S5000BK, or get my true size?

Also, would ordering from a rakuten site be cheaper than ordering from BIG?

Thank you

S5000s seem to be vanity sized about one (my 28s measured 29 after a hot soak).

So, yes absolutely you should go down one.

i would size down one for a slimmer fit. you will be ok. you maybe could size down two, but that is scary when you consider that it takes several washes for the jeans to reach their final measure.

These jeans are really tempting me and im thinking they will be my post christmas purchase, Im kind of strange with clothes in that I like to plan and know what to do with stuff. I dont really have many shoes to go with black jeans, im thinking black chelsea boots would be to formal but brown boots might not look right, apart from some black or white dunks what else could I buy for my feet to go with these jeans??

I'll shamelessly wear brown with black trousers. Very dark brown shoes, burgundy, cordovan, all may look nice. I am partial to boots in general.

The rules are meant to be broken; at least some times

What I'd say though is just take it on a case by case basis. Pair them together, see if you like the look.

Although I don't have a pair of black denim, I'd guess that the white stiching would offset the black a little and make it more a 'charcoal' but then i donno, i've never seen those in person. I think you'd be able to get away with brown shoes with black denim though.

I like wearing my brown calfskin boots with black slacks, I think it looks good. I suppose it all depends..

Thanks guys, im just going to go with my instinct, I have some dark brown center seams, with a burgandy suede trim, im thinking those will go well. I just asked because Im going to buy some new boots soon, and will get some brown ones, but I already have many brown boots, and wasnt sure, I just dont like black boots with blue jeans, i think they look abit off.

Come to think of it, im allways mixing black and brown. I think it looks ok if the two items have different textures.

MMMmmm, worst case scenario Ill have to buy another pair of shoes!

I don't think normal rules of color matching applies with denim. It's ROCK AND ROLL..don't play by the rules!!

I'll be pairing the black velvet blazer with dark blue S5000VXs (one wash) when I hit Vegas in January.... Haven't decided on shoes yet, but it will likely be black C&J Chelseas on the 337 last. Although I hate wearing those in clubs.
