For sale is an excellent condition Samuelsohn 42L Alton suit. Fabric is Super 120 navy windowpane. It is a 3-button, side vented jacket. Full canvas construction. Sleeves have "surgeon cuff" real buttonholes. Looks like natural Pants are double pleated, zipper fly, and come with suspender buttons. Made in Canada.
Barely worn. Got this in a trade in NWOT condition from somebody and wore it twice. Not ripped or stained. No pilling or worn through fabric. Looks 99% condition.
The Alton jacket is a more traditional cut. This jacket was a fairly recent made to measure based on 42L jacket and 35 pants. The following modifications were ordered from the stock pattern at the factory: Coat half back +1/4, coat length -1/4, seat -1, ticket pocket, surgeon cuffs.
The jacket was altered again to pull in the side seams, but the alterations are reversible and you'd probably want the jacket altered to fit you anyway. Here are the measurements of the suit (in inches):
Waist 20.5 (plenty of allowance to let back out, since I pulled it in)
Length 31.5 (measured from bottom of the collar down to hem in the back).
Sleeve 27 (from shoulder seam down to bottom)
Shoulder 19.5 (measured across)
Inseam 30.625 (pants have big 2.125" cuffs, and 1" allowance inside, so you could get this to 32.5 with a 1.5 cuff, or longer with no cuffs or a faux cuff)
Waistband 17.5 (35 total), looks like it can be let out another 2", maybe more, safely.
Width at bottom of leg 9.25
