Anyone have a good salsa verde recipe (mexican not italian)? I googled it, but would prefer to get a recipe from someone on here who's made it and can provide advice.

Much obliged.

I am mexican and this is the recipe of my home
1/2 pound of tomatillo
2 or 3 serrano peppers (more if you like it very spiced)
1 garlic clove
1/8 of an onion
some coriander
salt to taste
put everything, except the coriander, in boiling water for less of one minute, then put it in cold water
Blend everything in a mixer (best if you have a molcajete)
Buen provecho!

Anything to the idea of roasting the ingredients instead of boiling them? Recipes seem to go one way or the other.

Did something similar to the recipe posted over the summer with some tomatillos from my own garden. I grilled the tomatillos, peppers and onions though which obviously gave them a smokier flavor.
