Not sure how long it goes, but Paul Smith in NYC is having a sale with merchandise "up to 40% off." I picked up a black, double breasted overcoat with a "fur" collar and interior. Best part was the salesman who assisted me gave me his 50% discount.

Nice selection of shoes on sale (including those blue suede shoes someone else bought a few months ago). Would have picked some up, but I am in a self-declared, shoe-buying hiatus for the first quarter.

Now I am picturing Hamish in one of those coats. It is not hard. Sounds cool.

The sales begin today in Freedom. My heart is not pounding.

Is there anywhere online that we can see what the available suits look like? I can't call them up and say

"I'd like to buy a suit."
Which one?
"The gray one."
"???"

haha itd be hard to find ones online that are on sale..i mean u can look at the runway show and ask if any of them are online..idk any toher way..but u could always call paul smith and ask them to describe em to u and then ask em if they can take a pic and send one..a lot of places do that if they think ur acutally going to buy one..so id try that..ive done it with margiela a bunch of times...i usually just get consignments sent out from paul smith and a bunch of places to check out the stuff myself..but idk if theyll do that with you unless your going to buy a bunch of stuff..like for varvatos they need to send out stuff worth at least a grand..and if they have a history with you..like you work with an sa there or soemthing..

only the mainline collection suits are full canvas all others are fused. but imo are well constructed, regardless. range of London on sale will be around $500-600 for PS on sale, it's about $450 mainline on sale would be $1000, but they're usually all gone before salestime worth the price? sure, I think so, but it depends on your taste. I'd rather have a fused PS line suit than, say, a full canvassed Corneliani for same $$$

I was at the Soho store last week and I got one of the navy scarfs for 40% off. It wasn't a bad deal.

On a side note, there is a really cute Asian girl working at that Paul Smith store.
