Considering Alessandro Michele and Raf Simons put out their first collections for their respective houses within weeks of accepting the job, that seems like a poor excuse—not that I'm necessarily complaing. While Vaccarello surely isn't of the same caliber as those two, six months should really be more than enough time to put together a show.

What a joke are you serious? So they wait till womenswear SS17?

I mean Raf Simons bloddy put out HAUTE COUTURE for Christian Dior in like 3-4 weeks on his debut and that was like one of the best collections ever

this guy can't even put out a trashy collection in 3 months?

Disappointing about no runway show. Way to start with low expectations!

I believe womenswear was shown for SS13, but AW13 was the first menswear show.

I did already post that apparently SS 17 will be Hedi's old team doing takes on permanent collection items, using Hedi's patterns and designs, but with new twists. And yeah, no runway show, but possibly a photoshoot.

Kieran - good to know! I missed that. I'm pleasantly looking forward to the new twists from his design team! Would that be the "team" in Paris...or truly the one in LA?

It makes sense that to do a runway show until Anthony is fully on board.

You don't need a 'shoe guy' to do it.
Just trim with very sharp scissors.
Don't go TOO close to the stitching though.

Guys, I'm trying to decide between 2 pieces (see pics below) that are (a) from completely different seasons and (b) completely different in terms of style. I love both pieces but I can only go with one of them - not only from a financial point of view but also taking into account likelihood of 'frequent use'.
Context: I live in a hot country for 80% of the time (for work) and travel a few times a year to a relatively cold country in Europe to visit family and friends. But emotions count too and I'm really fond of the leather jacket + I know that once that last piece in my size is sold, we will never see it again!

Which one should I go with? Price difference is also about 2-to-1 (the leather jacket is the more expensive one at about 3,650 euro).

Below are pics of how the leather jacket looks on people (yes it has that vintage look!). Obviously, there are no pics of the velvet jacket as it hasn't hit the shelves yet.

Go for the leather, it's timeless.
