IME SLP boutiques usually either have a tailor that visits a few days a week or they send out for alterations, yes.

It may depend on the boutique so I'd call ahead and ask. Also, as others have mentioned on the thread just be aware that the D02s will shrink a bit after washing in the length so keep this in mind when shortening them - maybe give yourself a cm or so to work with. I'm not sure if they redo the raw edge hem, however...

Thanks for the replies - I like the treatment on the raw edge but if I can't adjust the lenght they're useless for me, especially since the creation of stacks on the leg would overshadow the frayed edge. Maybe I could try to DIY on another pair of jeans then do it on a normal D02...

@slann01 the tailor at slp was able to take my raw hems in one inch for a very slim fit but they had to leave the length. I'm about 5'9"... They stack nicely and look great.

Hey guys! I was wondering, what are some signs that I can use to tell if my SLP D02 black skinny jeans are authentic? I just recently bought them from someone.

I'm wearing that exact pair now in 28 and they look the same to me. They've become my favorite jeans.

@slann01 I just recently got them back from the tailor so I've only worn them twice. Both times I have worth them with my harness boots but I think they will look good with my suede jodhpurs as well. Even though I brought the hem in one inch they still fit nicely over the harness boot ankle ..I'll post pics soon.

Anyone have tips on distressing denim? I done it before but curious to see what others do. I sold my 2013 knee blowouts as they didn't really line up well. I really loved that pair though. I picked up the ss 15 ones and I'm thinking of making the knees a blowout.

The best distressing is to wear them. I'm not being sarcastic. Just wear them to the ground.

denim surgery 101. get a razor blade or a utility knife. get some pumice stones. slice the denim. rub the stone over the incision to fray. to abrade to just the inner layer (i.e. white thread), use just the stone. it's pretty straightforward.

i found a factory stone in the pocket of one my crash denims once :)
