Thought I’d share my thoughts on AMI’s flight jacket. I had seen several people on here recommend it as an alternative to Saint Laurent’s very own flight jacket. The SLP one has been a long standing grail of mine and though I've seen a few pop up 2nd hand, they've always been way out of my price range.

Anyway, I stumbled across the AMI flight jacket for an unbelievably good price (on sale for £490 - down from £1290) and just couldn't say no. Received it earlier this week and I'm really surprised by just how good it is. Construction is very solid, made from heavy calfskin leather, sheepskin shearling collar, and wool blend ribbing. The slim fit is similar to SLP’s own one, with the SLP cut nicer at the back. Though both jackets are based on military flight jackets, it’s clear AMI took influence from Saint Laurent on this one.
