Safari/Military Style Shirts?

Does anyone else have any recommendations for any safari/military style shirts (epaulets) in blue or beige? I know Apolis Activism has a couple out this season that I am digging, but does anyone have any other suggestions? Thank ya.

if you can live without epaulets - Filson/Orvis/Carhartt all make solid-color safari/work shirts, and you can find them at places like Bass Pro Shops and Cabelas as well. May not work for you if you're tiny - I'm a L in J. Crew, XL/XXL in some designers and I'm a medium in Orvis/Carhartt at least.

I'm selling one in a dark green/blue plaid color with epaulets and shoulder pocket in buy&sell.

They're pretty popular mainstream wise and you can find them from a lot of different brands and stores now, not just mid range brands. All up in the malls too

What should it cost to get a shirt tailored, and do need to mention anything to the tailor besides just saying you want it slimmed down to you?

That really varies on how much work they need to do, what the rate is and how much you can haggle.

I just had cheap jeans de-bootcut and a shirt slimmed and shortened and it was $28. But I know you can find it for a little less and for significantly more based on where you go.

I would go to a tailor thats willing to go through a quick fitting and can talk through the job with you. They should know what to do to the piece based on your requests. You aren't the tailor/seamstress. Let them tell you what they will do to achieve what you want. If you don't feel comfortable, walk.

I am no expert, the lady who does my stuff is my old neighbor from when I am a kid and she just gets what i want with little hassle. My experience outside of her is limited and not great.

Awesome, thanks for the suggestions, gents. Gonna do surfing and prolly gonna hit up my local Cabela's and Bass Pro.

Cabela's is going to fit you like a bag, have very low armholes, and going to cost you an arm and a leg by the time you get done. It's not worth it.

After all this it still won't fit or look nearly as decent as something you'd find at Uniqlo/Gap/Zara/H&M with replaced buttons... I'd rather have average (meh) fabric for something cheap, but yet still look/fit good.

buying cheap and getting it tailored is the weakest suggestion, you're going to end up with a fem looking cheap shirt
