You can create a google form, with three questions (First choice, Second choice, Third choice) each question being a dropdown type where you put the list of fabrics. Once you have set up the first question you can just duplicate it and change the name for the two other one. You get the result as a google sheet, easy to deal with to sort the results.
Out of curiosity about pattern making in general, did you shift the pockets, buttons, and inverted pleat when lengthening? Or is it just a matter of adding more material to what was previously the bottom?If it helps anyone visualise the balmacaan made longer — 43" to be precise — and with a belt, then why ... here's a mockup of exactly that, made in calico!

The belt, as you can see, is an impromptu addition, made with a strip of binding.
