Agreed. Looks so good.
I’m sure they’re in the queue, but some real world photos would be great to see how it looks worn open, collar popped, hands in those famous hidden pockets!
So has the Harrington replaced the flight jacket? There is a similarity, especially since the last version of the latter had, iirc elasticated cuffs and hem, but I think there could be space for both if the flight jacket returned to the earlier iterations like this one. View attachment 2333539
I reeeeaally liked this style with the pleated hem and cuff and the large collar (and this particular material combo is amazing); and, now that I have a little more money to spend on clothing than I did in 2016/2017, I had been hoping to see it come back.
Hi Paul, any sb jackets in the works for this year? Also, what linen items are coming up? I can’t get enough of the field shirt from last year. Thank you!
Oooooh nice. I realize you may not be able (or wish) to divulge this yet, but what will the honing/augmenting of the flight jacket look like?
Oh no, I missed out on the Harrington. If one comes into stock in XL, could you please let me know? Darn I wish I had seen it sooner.
Yessir — we have the SB upcoming in linen hopsack and tropical worsted (lead grey and bran brown) in the next few weeks.
Also in linen will come shirts and popovers (with short sleeves).
Glad to hear the field shirt is working out well for you. We are making some more this year in cotton duck, which will look similar to the linen burlap from last year, but with a quite different feel and drape on the body.
Butting in here, but as far as I know Ventile was originally designed to be as breathable as possible while still retaining some water resistance. That means no DWR, though I believe the modern stuff is made with some kind of coating.Hello Paul, I've come across an old SEH Kelly rain jacket. I believe it's made from ventile. The garment instructions say "Do not wash" and "Dry clean only" but I was considering washing it with Nikwax Tech Wash to restore its waterproofing. Is this a terrible idea? Many thanks!

That's what I thought as well. But then I came across this from the Ventile website:Butting in here, but as far as I know Ventile was originally designed to be as breathable as possible while still retaining some water resistance. That means no DWR, though I believe the modern stuff is made with some kind of coating.
