Does anyone own a SEH Kelly Greatcoat? What do you think about it, and what is the fit like? Any real life pictures? Thanks!

While we're pootling along here, willing the peacoats in Herdwick tweed and the new shawl cardigans into existence (only a few days now) — and soon to turn our attention full-time to the Ulster and British Warm — we've been working on the new watch caps, the first of which is now online.

There's a darker one to come, too: hopefully before the end of the weekend.

The Donegal yarn works very well for the cap. Seems meant to be. Not so much in the colouring (which of course is lovely) but the nature of the yarn, which is a little sturdy and less soft than the usual superfine merino, and gives the cap a bit more character and substance.

Paul, could you make a quick recap and tell us what are the long coats currently in development and when they migh be released?
Thanks in advance.

With pleasure!

The peacoat (okay, not a long coat) is now made. It is made with Herdwick tweed, dark and light, as the Ulster last year.

The Ulster is about to go into full production. It is the same as last year but has turn-back cuffs, and is made in Donegal barleycorn tweed in dark green-black and dark navy-grey.

The British Warm will go into production in about a week. It is being made in a hopsack overcoating similar to Herdwick tweed in colour, but softer and with a more pronounced hopsack weave structure.

That's it for this year.

We have in development a polo coat and a dispatch coat, and about three others which should remain nameless because they will probably change form and name as development wends and winds its way along. But both will likely be released this time next year, with chunky woollen cloth for the former and rugged cotton the latter.
