Great idea!

I'll be the first one behind you in the queue if one is made.

Thanks for the belief — I appreciate that.

But it's been done, the "photograph of mills and factories" book — it's been done a hundred times, online and in print. I don't have anything new to offer, so the prospect isn't a tasty one.

At the same time as our ongoing joyful shenanigans with shawl cardigans and balmacaans, we're also currently making some new shirts.

It's not often we repeat the same thing twice repeat the same thing twice, but I love looking at and wearing the shirt in cotton-silk-linen-wool from a year or two ago so much that we have repeated it again repeated it again.

So upcoming is https://www.sehkelly.com/shop/shirt-in-cotton-silk-wool-linen-oxford-in-sanderling/ in not only this colour but a mid grey-blue shade (I guess from afar a dull denim colour) which is replete with dark and light flecks.

It is so nice to wear, such that I was seldom out of it over the previous winter, and it seems to need almost no upkeep (no creases, no visible stains thanks to natural resiliency and the general camouflage of the cloth design, no grime or odour).

I could wax rhapsodic about it all day long — as I realise I very nearly have in this post!

This fabric looks really interesting! Are you expecting a fall release date for the shirts or will it be sooner than that? Also, looking at the prior iteration’s product page that you linked, the size chart seems a bit slimmer than the current size chart for shirts. Will you be updating the sizing for this iteration?

Yes — we hope to have the shirts finished within the next ten days.

The shirts will measure the same as the current shirts on our website — all of those at https://www.sehkelly.com/shop/. I will however double-check all of that before it goes live.

I keep coming back to the words of the man who weaves it — "I would describe this design as a heavily textured plain weave. I was also thinking how I might describe the weave itself. It is probably more apparent when this design is woven using colour yarns, but I would highlight the importance in the tonal qualities found within the shadows of the weave, which are in many ways as important to the overall design as the tones found in the yarn on the surface of the weave."

And yes — I do like photographing collars.

Waiting for mine with bated breath. Also, winter come quick, please.

WAITING

One day — maybe not today, maybe not tomorrow, but soon — more of these will be made. Not exactly the same, perhaps, but very similar indeed.

When is soon in relation to the t-shirts? aLSO WHAT is being changed? The t-shirt is pretty perfect...

I'd say we're likely to make more t-shirts within the next six months.

We might change the colours, hone the fit, or well ... have a new idea! Sometimes a realisation will make it seem like that which was deemed perfect was miles off course.

Did you miss out last time? We made lots last time.

oh no within the next 6 months... wishful thinking it was like August or September. The greengrey of the crewneck just released seems perfect for the t-shirt. or royal blue

Sorry to hear your disappointment.

We had good levels of stock since around March (I think soon after you last asked after them) but in the months since stock has steadily dwindled.

It is August now so we are thinking about the colder months, so more heavy lambswool knitwear is the order of the day, rather than summery cottons (which will come into renewed planning / focus in the first third of next year).

However, if you want a t-shirt immediately, please let me know via email which size and colour (https://sehkelly.com/t-shirt) and I can advise more precisely when it will come back, and perhaps can turn over the workshop and discover one unlisted. Stranger things have happened!

The crewneck uses different yarn — lambswool, as opposed to cotton — so that alas is not a colour we'll offer in the t-shirt. I'm not sure a woollen t-shirt is something we will ever explore.

Hello, I am in the market for a jacket to wear in the rain--not a drizzle or short burst, but a steady and drenching hour-long affair out and about. I happened upon the Parka Major (which did not populate when I clicked "shop" but only became visible when clicking to see what is available in medium). Do you think that fits the bill, or should I wait (impatiently, but resolutely) for a future offering in the weatherproof ripstop? Thank you for the advice!
