It will fit like a classic men's SB overcoat. It is very well tailored and has good balance and sleeve pitch, but how it feels on you will depend on how well it matches your particular body shape. And it has decent width in the sleeve to fit over a couple of (not very thick) layers, so the onus in the sleeve is on shape and form, and would not be ideal if you raise your arms a lot. Same as the SB jacket, I guess, or most tailored coats with set-in sleeves.

We are using Donegal tweed for it, but less bold and heavy than that of the balmacaan, and grey and dark blue are planned.
Sound great! Now the only thing I have to think about is wear it fitted or relaxed. Wishi live next door to your factory so i can just popover for a try on Lol

Anyone interested in a pre-owned corduroy pullover from a few years ago? I love it but unfortunately I’ve grown a bit large to fit. I’d let it go for a reasonable price.

It’s a size M. PM for measurements or additional photos. Thanks!

It’s been so quiet here. Paul, can you give us any sneak preview or info about the upcoming t-shirts? If I remember correctly, there were going to be many of the t-shirts but I don’t know if that meant a variety of colors and styles or just stock.

I’m looking forward to the return of the cardigan too.

They are being finished off at the moment. We have four colours, if I remember rightly — oatmeal, dark grey, dark green, and probably a dark navy. Please don't hold me to that! But I'm fairly sure that's what we went with in the end.

I’m looking forward to the return of the cardigan too.

Me too! The standard (not shawl) cardigan, that is, in cotton. Also being finish off, behind the aforementioned t-shirts, and some polo shirts.

Are the t-shirts still cotton? Or cashmere/cotton or linen variety? Re: polo shirts are they longsleeve or solely short sleeve

Still cotton, yes. We find it the best for durability and holding its shape over time and ease-of-care (i.e. just put it in the washing machine).

The sleeves on the polo shirts will be short. We did dabble with a long-sleeve version in cotton this time last year, but it just didn't look quite right, on the body, compared either to the short-sleeve version or previous wool and cashmere variants.

Paul, since we've dragged you out of the workshop, I was going to ask about your summer trousers. I lived in the UK until I was in my 20s but now live in Missouri, of all places. The summer is excruciatingly hot and humid, far beyond anything I've ever experienced in England (and I grew up in the English Riviera, Brighton).

Would your trousers be suitable for the heat? I just feel very little affinity with the more preppy or Americana/Western stuff that's mostly available here, so it'd be nice to have a good pair of summer weight trousers. But I could understand if clothing for 35C with 85% humidity was a little outside your area of interest.

We do have some linen (field) trousers upcoming, perhaps later this month or next, and those would be the only candidates that spring to mind.

We seldom use very lightweight cloth. Even the linen to which I refer above is above average in weight. But it doesn't shrink much, or crease much, and fits well with our "garments that endure" credo. And that strongly steers our choice of materials (and the styles we develop, too) and precludes cloth at the lightest end of the the spectrum. It sounds a little pious, I know, but we really aspire to our garments hanging in wardrobes for a very long time, and ageing very nicely, rather than creasing and shrinking and wearing through (which affects lighter cloth more than heavy in my experience).

Would the cotton cambric you used for the balmacaan work as a lightweight trouser cloth? You used the weather-resistant cotton canvas for both the parka and the trouser iirc. 6oz does seem pretty darn thin, but it seems thin for a coat too.

We've actually just made some work trousers with it so ... yes!

Nice and crisp.

We've done them in grey and olive drab.

I completely understand, the heavier fabrics that age beautifully married to the contemporary takes on heritage workwear are what I love about you guys, so I'd not want you to compromise on that. Looks like my search for easy breezy trousers continues!

Paul,

Any chance the flight jacket will return, in whatever iteration, in the coming seasons? Or has it flown away for good?

Cheers!

Yes — it will come back one day!

It's been a little crowded out by other jackets of similar appearance the past few years (work jacket, fishing jacket, trucker) and there are a few changes we want to make to it to make it more distinctive.

Maybe next year, or the one after. We haven't left it behind.
